Rules for dating my daughter

Oh give me a break, the only thing that is different is that it's less hidden than it was back then, nothing at all has changed. That's that old nostalgic bit about the "good ole days", when it was basically the same, I laugh everytime I hear that junk.

Let's just say this, if my daughter's had brought someone like home with her, Rule #9 would have immediately become rule #1 and would have been applied. Truthfully.

Standards are different, that's about the only thing. Also, there's more laziness now and less activity.

But really, some of that in the original post is a bit over the top. Yeah boyfriends should have some respect not only for their girlfriends but for the parents of the girlfriends. That said parents need to quit sheltering and let their kids grow up. People date others who have mutual interests and hang out which may eventually lead to them marrying.

When I was 15 I dated a girl from another school who wasn't allowed to date and didn't have the decency to tell me she wasn't allowed to date. My sister talked to her mother on the phone the day she broke up with me and her mother tried to talk about her like she was a perfect little angel and that my parents needed to keep an eye on a boy like me.

Sometimes when people break up, parents like to pin it all off on the boy and pretend their little girls are perfect and can do no wrong.

I'm taken now so it doesn't matter anymore.
